Process:
Calcium chloride is a white crystalline solid. It is very soluble in water. Extremely hygroscopic and liberates large amount of heat during water absorption.
Chemical Reaction:
Calcium Chloride is prepared by the reaction Calcium Carbonate with Hydrochloric Acid.
